THIRD SESSION IN USRAH

15th November 2022

 🌸بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم🌸

السلام عليکم ورحمة الله وبرکاته

Hi everyone, welcome back! I hope you are doing well. This is the third session, i think this is the most important topic in this month which is “PREPARATION OF SALAH WITH KHUSYU”. Do you know guys, I really exited to attend this class oh my God! It feels like this class is held face to face at HS dry cafe IIUM, maybe. I don’t remember it clearly. I also become the first person arrived at that place, a bit afraid of being in the wrong place or huhuhuuu. Then 5 minutes later, our Naqibah came. Alhamdulillah, clingg✨

As usual, we start our class after Isya prayer. Then our Naqibah and us start the session with dua. As I remember, Naqibah asked one of us to love for warid then going to practice the correct methods of salah from how to perform wudhu to tahiyyatul akhir and salam, so that we understand better. Many students express their opinions and questions about this topic.

Alright, we have to continue with the lesson. Are you ready? Jommmmm! Okay, did you know what is the meaning of khusyu? khusyu is humble. In terms of language is silent, calm and humble. Literally means the gentleness, serenity, submission and humility in the human heart to Allah. When the human heart is khusyu, the whole body will also be khusyu. This is because, a limb will follow the heart.

So, how we prepare ourself to attain khushu' in salah? Here's some tips from our Naqibah:

1) Taharah (Wudu'/Tayamum)

● Beautify ablution/wudu', that is, perform ablution perfectly by observing all the obligations and sunnahs in ablution.

● Wudu' also ensures that we are pure and clean from external and internal impurities.

● Internal and external cleanliness causes us to be able to focus in prayer and it is the main factor we can be devout/khushu' in prayer

2) Condition for the acceptance of salah

The condition for the acceptance of salah has to fulfill the legal conditions of prayer, that is, by fulfilling the act in prayer so that the prayer performed is vald. Among the valid conditions of prayer are :

● prayers on time

● cover the aurah

● ablution/wudu' and purification (from small and large hadas including faeces)

● facing the correct Qibla

● (Most important!) With the intention/niat because of Allah(sincerely/ikhlas)

3) Pillars of Salah

If one pillar of Salah is left out then the Salah will be void and invalid. Pillars of Salah consists of 13 pillars and is divided into three :-

Rukun Qalbi ( consist of niah/niat)

● Rukun Qauli (recitation of fatihah, tahiyat akhir and others

that need to be recite out loud so that our whole body can

hear it)

● Rukun fi'li (ruku' dan sujood)

Hence, all of these pillars need to be done perfectly and enough so that the prayers/salah performed are valid.

4) Application of Salah based on situations (Qasr and Jama', Nawaafil and During illness)

Rukhsah is a relief given by Allah and prescribed by the shari'ah due to illness or hardship such as illness and travel/musafir.

Oh yeah, the Naqibah also give us the three link of videos about khusyu’ from Mufti Menk, Dr Zakir Naik and Shaykh Hasan Ali. She asking us to choose one from three videos then elaborate what you have learn from that video. I chose lectures from Dr. Zakir Naik. My point after watching his video “how to increase my khusyu and concentration”. The first point is we should know the meaning of surah that we reciting in salah, the second one is we should reciting slowly that makes me feel enjoy the prayer to avoid mistake reading and hurry in salah.

That’s all, thank youuuu!❤️
